A Judge Grants a Hearing on the Road Repair Financing Plan

See the official notice below. Tomorrow (Friday the 24th) at 6:00pm, the Orange Budget Committee will vote on the warrant that lies behind this hearing. The Select Board will do the same a half hour later. (Both of tomorrow’s meetings will be conducted over Zoom.) If the warrant passes in both meetings, the court will then need to approve a special Town Meeting for Orange voters to decide the warrant.

All these hurdles—Budget Committee, Select Board, judge, and Town Meeing—have to be passed before the Town can get the funds to repair the roads from the July flood.

For details on the proposal, see earlier posts on the News page of orangenh.US.
